# Creating your account

Sign up with email or a social account to get started with Pablo.

## Sign up

Open Pablo and tap **Sign up**. You have two options:

Enter your email address and choose a password. Your password must be at least 8 characters and include a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.

Tap **Sign up** to continue.

Tap **Continue with Google** or **Continue with Apple**. You'll be taken through your provider's standard sign-in flow and returned to Pablo automatically.

## Legal consent

Before your account is created, Pablo asks you to confirm three things:

* **Age** — You must be of legal drinking age (21+ in the US, 18+ in most other countries).
* **Terms and Conditions** — Review and accept [Pablo's terms of use](https://getpablo.app/legal/terms).
* **Privacy Policy** — Review and accept [how Pablo handles your data](https://getpablo.app/legal/privacy).

All three must be enabled before you can continue.

## Email verification

This step only applies if you signed up with email and password. Social sign-ups skip it.

After accepting the legal terms, Pablo sends a verification code to your email address. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm your account.

If the code doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. Codes expire after a short period — if yours has expired, go back and request a new one.

## Signing in later

On the sign-in screen, enter your email and password, or tap your social provider. If you forget your password, tap **Forgot password?** and follow the steps to reset it via email code.
